The Freeland Soccer Club is a volunteer run organization and there is no important role than the parent coach. Without Parent Volunteer Coaches there would be no Freeland Soccer Club. Please consider volunteering to coach your son or daughter’s team.
If you are unable to coach the Freeland Soccer Club has many opportunities to help out. Please contact a FSC Board Member for more information.
Director of Coaching, Ernie Martinez
Ernie has extensive experience coaching and working with multiple clubs and teams. Ernie's training includes a National Diploma, Director of Coaching Diploma , Goalkeeper 1 Diploma, Futsal Level 1 Diploma, High School Special Topic Diploma, and Special Topics The Mental Game Diploma all thru NSCAA.
Ernie will be putting together multiple training sessions each season for the recreational coaches to help them develop their coaching skills and make it easier for those newer to the sport and also returning volunteers with some tips and methods. In addition, this will include updated online curriculum of skills to work on each practice to replace the binders previously used. Ernie will also be assisting the travel team coaches and circulating at the fields regularly once we can safely return to playing. Additionally Freeland Soccer and Ernie will be presenting a junior academy for players 4-9 years of age. A flyer will be coming out shortly with signup thru GotSoccer.
Please also monitor the Freeland Soccer Club Facebook page for some upcoming challenges to develop the players skills at home during this quarantine.
